I don't really think that using the remote or the keyboard is doing any difference (the system cannot distinguish between them), but what is strange is that in one case the appended keys were physical keypresses and in the other one the fake key was from an EG simulated keypress. I left MP and from within EG I pressed the RETURN key on the keyboard and EG stopped appending the fake RETURN key. Then EG started to append a RETURN event to all keyboards events.
within MediaPortal I pressed the OK button on the remote (gives a F6 followed by ESC and EG translates it to RETURN). Exited MP and with focus on EG I pressed W and L on the keyboard again and EG stopped appending those keys to all the events (basically going back to normal). After that EG started to append +W+L to all detected keyboard events (both from the remote and from the keyboard). within MediaPortal I pressed CTRL+W and CTRL+L (on the standard keyboard) to activate a MP plugin feature, none of those key combinations are recognized by the EG script. The "append keypress" error happened on two different situations: The script is used to control MediaPortal, active plugins are keyboard, timer and task create/switch. Input are a standard keyboard and a remote which is seen by the system as a keyboard (IR receiver on board a PCTV 73e USB stick).
